No sooner did I hit the publish button did I <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.desmogblog.com\/new-coal-cares-campaign-targeting-link-between-coal-and-asthma-leaves-viewers-breathless\" target=\"_blank\"><em>discover<\/em><\/a><em> that the Coal Cares campaign is an elaborate parody. But it seems real if you know the history of various industry campaigns, which is what the rest of my post is about.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Lots of people are shaking their heads over this\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/coalcares.org\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Coal Cares campaign<\/a>. <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">You have to wonder which marketing genius dreamed it up, and what Peabody was thinking when they bought it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s next?
