I submit that the Tea Party&#8217;s power to shape politics and climate policy has now crested. Consider two\u00a0seemingly unrelated events that happened yesterday.<\/p>\n<p> 
<a href="https://www.andrewplimmer.com/ghost-commerce/"></a> One of them, a source of unnecessary anguish <a href=\"http:\/\/initforthegold.blogspot.com\/2011\/04\/okies-from-muskogee.html\" target=\"_blank\">for some<\/a> (but really a clever chess move move by Democrats), was written up in <a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/blogs\/e2-wire\/677-e2-wire\/154445-house-votes-down-climate-science-amendment\" target=\"_blank\">The Hill<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>

<a href="https://castlehomecomfort.com/humidifiers/"></a> <a href=\"http:\/\/climateprogress.org\/2011\/04\/06\/gop-led-house-rejects-science-240-184\/\" target=\"_blank\">Others<\/a> are also inclined to interpret this event as a dark day for humanity. But I see it as the moment the Tea party tinged opposition to climate science spiked.<\/p>\n<p> 
<a href="http://www.amandasatoz.com/?page_id=1536"></a> That&#8217;s because it came on the same day that Glenn Beck announced his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theatlanticwire.com\/business\/2011\/04\/glenn-beck-bid-nation-farewell\/36424\/\" target=\"_blank\">departure<\/a> from Fox News. This observation in the <em>Guardian<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/media\/2011\/apr\/06\/glenn-beck-fox-news\" target=\"_blank\">captures<\/a> why I think the phenomena of the Tea Party as a political force will be short-lived (my emphasis):<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>
