Via the Danger Room, we learn that a science division of the Pentagon has been funneling millions of dollars to a research institute at the American Museum of Natural History that studies evolutionary biology and genetic adaptation.

with Rangel’s backing, the Institute has been working to create a predictive algorithm for modern pandemics, using data on how viral influenzas morph and spread.

I don’t have a problem with that.
